About Us!
After serving the valley for 6.5 years as full service home stagers and interior designers under the YellowGate Designs business name, we made the exciting decision to go back to our roots and narrow our focus on our love for teaching others.
YellowGate Consulting was born as a way for us to educate and empower sellers and agents to stage their own homes with the guidance of our Certified Professional Stagers. We know that being an agent isn’t just your job title, it is your passion and livelihood, and we look forward to making your business bloom.
In addition to helping agents and sellers in the real estate industry, we are also committed to assisting other stagers, designers, and small businesses grow by providing administrative services, financial management, and collaborative design feedback.
Christy Gatewood
Owner & Certified Professional Stager
Growing up in a military family, I have seen many places both inside and outside of the US. I spent much of my life “on the west side”, specifically Spanaway. I was introduced to eastern Washington when I attended WSU (Go Cougs!) and fell in love with its natural beauty. When my husband retired from the Coast Guard in 2015, we finally got to make Wenatchee our home.
After a wonderful career in finance, I took a leap of faith to satisfy my creative side and started YellowGate Designs. Although we had six and a half years of fun doing full-service staging, I found that the most rewarding part of the business is using my business background and home staging education to teach others, and YellowGate Consulting was born.
I am married to the love of my life, Geoff, and have two amazing sons, Isaac and Nathan. Our favorite hobby to do as a family is escape rooms. We have completed rooms in 6 different states and can’t wait to get to more. When I’m not working, you will likely find me in court as part of my duties as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system.
Kristin Stilwater
Certified Professional Stager
I have lived in the Wenatchee Valley my entire life, and have always had an affinity for art and beautiful things. As a child I wanted to become an artist when I grew up and would routinely hole up in my bedroom and drag my furniture across the floor, rearranging my space until it looked and felt just right. Life had different plans for me, but after a 15 year stretch at an office job I was feeling the itch to move on and flex my creative muscles, and that is when I met Christy.
After shadowing and assisting at YellowGate Designs for a while, I took the next step and became a Certified Professional Home Stager. I have enjoyed every minute of the creative process and spent the last 2.5 years staging homes and making this valley even more beautiful, one house at a time.
Now, I’m excited to continue helping realtors and homeowners prepare their homes for sale through this new creative avenue of consulting. I’m a wife and mom of two, and enjoy singing, hiking, and playing in the garden in my free time. I can’t wait to meet you and help with your projects!
